Guide to Make 7 Up Biscuits

To begin with this recipe, we must first prepare a few components. You can have 7 up biscuits using 5 ingredients and 12 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

    Ingredients

The ingredients needed to make 7 Up Biscuits:

    1. Take 2 cups Baking Mix. I use Bisquick
    2. Get 1/2 cup sour cream
    3. Take 1/2 cup 7 up carbonated drink
    4. Get 1/3 stick butter
    5. Get Extra butter for brushing

I wanted to try them because I really love biscuits. Cut the sour cream into the baking mix until mixture resembles course crumbs. Now sprinkle your counter with a little Bisquick mix then add dough and pat it out. Cut your biscuits up and arrange them in pan on top of.

    Instructions

Steps to make 7 Up Biscuits:

    1. Melt 1/3 stick of butter in small pie pan or 8x8 pan. 9x13 if doubling recipe.
    2. In mixing bowl, combine the baking mix and sour cream.
    3. Mix until combined well.
    4. Add 1/2 cup 7Up soda
    5. Mix until just combined. It will be sticky.
    6. On well floured surface, turn out dough and sprinkle more flour on top of dough. I use baking mix for this also.
    7. Knead a few times so the dough is not as sticky. I fold mine over each other to make layers.
    8. With floured pin or hands, roll or pat out dough to desired thickness.
    9. Cut into rounds without twisting cutter and place in pan with biscuits touching.
    10. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.
    11. Brush hot biscuits with melted butter.
    12. These are super buttery and oh so good :)

The dough will be very soft, don't worry. Knead and fold dough until covered in your baking mix. Pat dough out, (no rolling pin needed) and cut biscuits using a round biscuit/cookie cutter. This is really quite an easy Bisquick biscuit recipe, but the part, in my opinion that get's a little crazy is when you have to fold the dough in extra Bisquick so practice really is what makes perfect. I think Ginger-Ale would work fine too.
