    2. Make ready 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1tsp jeera,1tsp pepper powder,2 green chilli
    3. Make ready Rasam powder 2 tsp, jaggery 2tsp, 1tsp tutmeric, pinch of hingu
    4. Make ready Curry leaves, coriander leaves, 2tsp chilli powder, 2tsp salt

    Instructions

    Instructions to make Drumstick and Tomato Rasam:

    1. Take 5 glasses of water in a vessel, add cut drumsticks n sliced tomatoes n turmeric let them cook for few minutes. Add salt n pepper too.add curry leaves too n let the mixture boil till drumstick r soft.
    2. Soak tamarind in water n extract juice n add it to the boiling water.
    3. Take 2tsp oil in small kadai and add tadka and hingu to oil once spluttering add to the mixture. Add 2tsp jaggery and mix
    4. Add pepper too and let the mixture boil for some time lastly add 2tsp rasam powder to it.
    5. Add rasam powder n cook for few minutes n off the stove. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    6. Rasam powder recipe - 1/2 cup toor dal, 1 cup dhania seeds, 1/4cup pepper, 1tbsp methi seeds, 1tbs jeers, 5 red chillies. Dry roast all and grind to fine powder.

    The flavor of rasam is spicy, sour and yummy. Today's Drumstick Rasam Recipe has a tangy tamarind - tomato base. I always use freshly ground the rasam powder/paste, as it adds more flavour to the rasam. But I have used in moderation to keep the flavour solely focused on the drumsticks. The flavour from the drumsticks adds a nice punch to the rasam, which makes it so delicious.
